Cyber Essentials is an industry supported scheme developed by the UK Government. Cyber Essentials requires an organisation to have a number of technical and procedural controls in place to improve their information security in order to mitigate common internet-borne cyber-attacks such as hacking, phishing and password guessing.
Cyber Essentials Plus involves an independent assessment of security controls, to verify that the required technical security controls have been successfully implemented.
